Oliver Tambo Recreation Ground
This is where the Pavilion started back in 2001. Nine courts, a football pitch, free outdoor table tennis and a café that has been feeding players and park regulars ever since.

Floodlit and open year round, bookable by the hour through ClubSpark.

Four mini courts
Four smaller courts for mini reds and orange, used for coaching, camps and family knockabouts. Free to use.
Football pitch
Home to Priory Park FC, who train here Sunday mornings, plus kids' football through the week.
Outdoor table tennis
Outdoor tables, free to use any time. Borrow bats and balls from the café counter.

The original Pavilion café, with terrace seating over the courts and space to hire for parties and community events.
The café
Open 9am–7pm, every day
Snacks, cake and proper coffee, with terrace seating looking over the courts and pitches. Relax after your workout, meet friends, or grab a flat white while the kids run around.
Through the year the café hosts jumble sales, art exhibitions and craft fairs.

The café and pavilion are available to hire for kids' parties, adult functions, quiz nights, wedding receptions or anything else you'd like to put on. Tell us the date and how many people, and we'll come back with prices.

A neglected pavilion, brought back to life.
Albert Road Recreation Ground, as it was then known, is the birthplace of Pavilion Sports and Café. Robby Sukhdeo revitalised a neglected building and its tennis courts, turning the area into a lively community hub with support from Haringey Council and the Tennis Association.
Tennis play and instruction are at the heart of the park: six full-size courts and four mini courts for children, all with an inclusive atmosphere for players of every level. The park also hosts a range of other sports — from the café terrace you can watch football, join an exercise class or take part in whatever else is on that day.
About Oliver Reginald Tambo
On 9 February 2021 the park was renamed O R Tambo Recreation Ground in memory of the world-renowned South African anti-apartheid campaigner, Oliver Reginald Tambo.
Oliver Tambo lived in Haringey in exile for over two decades, settling with his family in Muswell Hill. The South African High Commission gifted Haringey a bronze bust and statue of him, which sits proudly within the Rec.
